Prevention of Post-Operative Vasectomy Pain
Adding bupivacaine to reduce discomfort after the procedure is one of our standard practices. A proactive technique for your comfort and recovery.
We use bupivacaine, a long-acting local anesthetic, at the end of the procedure. This helps reduce discomfort in the hours following the vasectomy, when the initial anesthesia wears off. This practice allows for a more comfortable return home and reduces the need for oral analgesics.
By combining a gentle no-scalpel technique and proactive pain management, the vast majority of our patients report very little post-operative pain.
